Glass Fusing
What is Glass Fusing? Glass Fusing is simply the process of stacking two or more layers of glass together to make a design, then placing the stacked glass in the kiln, where it melts together. It's easy and it's simple, not to mention fun and creative! Great for adults and kids. No experience is required and our glass fusing center can be quickly mastered!
Project Sizes We have lots of project sizes and shapes you can choose from.
Different Ways of Firing Tack
Fusing - The project will have slightly rounded, polished edges
and a highly textured surface where each design element remains distinctly
raised above the base.
Full Fusing - The top layer of glass is completely merged into the bottom layer, creating a smooth surface and rounded edges. Ideal for trivets, bowls, or other decorative pieces.
Slumping - Once fused into a single unit (tack fused or full fused), the project can be returned to the kiln and slumped over a mold of your choice. This transforms the flat project into a functional or artistic three-dimensional piece, such as a bowl, vase, or tray.
Glass Fusing Center Our Glass Fusing Center will include an Idea Design Book that has pictures of designs you can copy and Glass Project Recipes where it details glass ingredients and preparation instructions (much like a cookbook).
Of course - the best way is your way! Go freestyle and let the creative juices flow!
Our Glass Fusing Center is complete with utensils, shop tools, and all kinds of glass parts for your project - nippets, frits, stringers, noodles, and rods..
It's truly simple! Come in and check out our new Glass Fusing Center.
